Last weekend, we went to the Peaks of Otter right at peak season for the leaves changing colors. Southwest Virginia is so beautiful and never more so, in my opinion, than the fall.
We actually took the bus up the mountain, which takes you close to the peak of Sharp Top and then you hike the rest of the way up. I know, it’s cheating! It was such a beautiful day and I was thrilled to finally get outdoors.
When we came down from the mountain, we went over the lake to just relax. It’s a great place to bring a picnic and just enjoy the scenery.
