Put apples and salt in large saucepan or Dutch oven and add water. Bring to a boil and then stir in the oats.
Reduce heat to medium and continue cooking until oats are tender and oatmeal is thick, about 5-10 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in the honey and cinnamon.
Notes
Instead of brown sugar, you could substitute 3 Tbsp. honey.Note: This oatmeal is great reheated and I go ahead and portion out the leftovers into small glass bowls, so I can grab one and reheat quickly.
