We’ve been blueberry picking for the last several years. I love getting lots of blueberries to freeze for an inexpensive price, but it’s hard work out in the hot June sun. Not to mention two Tasmanian devils running around and dropping the blueberry bucket (for the second year in a row)!
Hmmmm….maybe heading to the grocery store and picking up a few pints isn’t such a bad idea after all?! haha!
No, I kid. I love getting loads of yummy blueberries from a local farm. And, I love 3 Birds Berry Farm because they are so friendly. They do a good job of posting pick-up days and times. They have a comfort station with water and sunscreen. They have free books for the kids. One year they gave the kids a free bouquet of wildflowers. They remember us year to year. Such a great place.
And, afterward all of the blueberry picking, we like to head over to Whitebarrell Winery to relax. Whitebarrell is such a pretty vineyard with rolling hills of grapes, a nice tasting room and a covered patio.
