Beliveau Estate

July 6, 2016

I’m just now posting about our visit to Beliveau Estates Winery a few weeks ago. We had been before, but it has been a few years. Since it’s only 30 minutes away, I can’t figure out why I haven’t been more? It’s beautiful — rolling hills in the mountains, a lovely shaded patio, lavender planted everywhere with colorful butterflies flying around.

The people sitting beside us told us they couldn’t believe how good the kids were. (They were strapped in their stroller.)  We both laughed and said, “Well, they are strapped in and can’t go anywhere. Just wait — once we let them loose, you’ll all be hating us.”  They finally convinced us to let them out because they wanted to dance to the live music. Well, dancing lasted about one minute and then we were chasing them to and fro.

I had a lovely Chardonelle and a Traminette, perfect for a very hot summer day.

On our way out, we stopped at their pond. It was packed with lily pads and lotuses, frogs and dragonflies.
